Faster Fat Loss

  • Faster fat loss

  • Follow these tips and watch the weight drop off
  • Mix it up

  • If you’re looking to boost your chances of dropping a few extra pounds, up your intake of foods rich in polyphenols. A study by the Journal of the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology found that adding polyphenol-rich ingredients to meals could cut your levels of malondialdehyde (MDA), a natural by-product of fat digestion. Boost these effects further by drinking green tea. Because the leaves are steamed rather than fermented like black tea, the polyphenol content is higher, which increase your levels of fat oxidation – meaning you’ll be burning more fat for fuel, even when you’re not exercising.
  • Liver it up

  • Coffee lover? If you’re on two or more cups of Java per day, think about increasing the amount of inositol in your diet. This B vitamin is naturally produced in your body from glucose, and helps redistribute fat from around the liver throughout the body, to be burned up more efficiently as energy. High levels of caffeine can deplete your natural resources, so stock up on bran-based cereals, cantaloupe melons and oranges to give your levels a boost.
  • Catch some Z’s

  • Burning the candle at both ends isn’t just terrible for your under-eye bags and concentration – not getting enough shuteye has also been proven to increase your appetite and make food cravings worse. A study in The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism shows that sleep deprivation leads to decreased levels of the appetite hormone leptin, which effectively tells your brain that you’re hungry – thus making the afternoon dash to the corner shop all that more tempting.
